See, I have held you in the palms of my hands.
Isaiah 49:15-16
We have always taken this to refer to humans alone.
Now we know it refers to all that lives and breathes and
has its being in God.
The bat, the bird, the butterfly and bee,
The bear, the badger, the buffalo and me,
Lovingly held in the palms of Holy Being.
Oh Mystery, Oh Mystery....
Oh Risen Christ, we thank Thee.
